about chameleon casting
As casting directors, we know our city inside-out: we’re guns at finding the best (and most diverse) talent for your next project. Melbourne is known for so many things: coffee, unpredictable weather and sport. But it’s also known affectionately as the “cultural capital of Australia” – think comedy, the Arts and, our number one passion, film and TV!
The industry is always evolving, so how do you stay ahead of the curve?
This is a question we’re always asking ourselves. It’s why we invest in making our casting process better each and every day, harnessing cutting-edge technology to make it easier for you to find the right talent.
Why we’re one of the best casting companies in Australia
We’ve got a hell of a lot of experience – after 20 years of casting, we know a thing or two about what works, and what won’t fly. The casting database we’ve built from the ground up is our pride and joy – it’s always evolving and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Daniella Friedman
I’ve always had a deep love of the theatre and performance, but I didn’t want to be a performer myself. So I decided to pursue my passion for the craft via casting – and I’ve never looked back!
In the early days, I interned at Chameleon Casting as well as in Los Angeles, where I got to supercharge my skills and learn from the best. I even got to work with amazing crews at NBC and the ever-popular Nickelodeon, including a few live action shows and the Kids Choice Awards.
I’ve taken everything I learnt in the US and injected it into my work, supporting amazing brands like Triple M and the Comedy Channel. But it was when I took over Chameleon Casting at 27 years old that I truly skyrocketed as a casting director.
I’m proud of how far we’ve come and can’t wait to continue our passion for supporting the Australian film and TV industry on the ground. Let’s get your next project cast with the right talent – it’s what we do best.
Lisa Fineberg
Lisa wears a number of hats and has over two decades of experience in various roles in the film industry.
She started her career as an actor before joining Chameleon in 2010. Coming from a performance background has helped her understand the audition process from an actors point of view to help actors feel comfortable in the casting room.
She has a particular interest in comedy and casting comedic performances. With strong ties in the Australian stand-up scene she is always finding new emerging talent.
Lisa is also co-founder and Executive Producer at Hot Dad Productions, who specialises in producing comedy content.
Elisha Nathan
Elisha joined Chameleon Casting in 2012 and started as the smiling face at reception, greeting actors as they came in for auditions.
10 + years later and she still has a big smile on her dial.. but can now generally be found at her desk in the office, usually on one (or two!) phone calls, sending an email, writing a brief, and drinking a tea all at the same time.
Elisha’s combined experience in Performing Arts and Recruitment gave her the perfect combination of skills to move into the world of casting.
Elisha has always loved the fast pace of casting, and thrives on a deadline.
She also truly loves an Excel spreadsheet.
